Abstract
1448929 Valves E-SYSTEMS Inc 29 Aug 1974 [6 Dec 1973] 37760/74 Heading F2V A valve means for delaying the commencement of fluid flow to the input of a fluid power unit (12) Fig. 1 (not shown) comprises a secondary slider valve 70, means (e.g. pistons 94, 96) responsive to fluid pressure for activating the secondary slider between open and closed positions; a primary slider valve 58 controlling fluid flow between the secondary slider valve and a fluid source and also controlling fluid flow from the source to the actuating means via a restriction. Pressure may be applied to pistons 94, 96 via passages 52, 54 and restrictor 112 in passage 38 under control of primary slider valve land 60. Piston 94 or both 94 and 96 will be displaced against spring 98 according to the direction of displacement of slider 58, in either case movement of the secondary slider is delayed by restricted flow rate through restriction 112. In an alternative arrangement Fig. 4 (not shown) housings (118, 114) for secondary and primary sliders and separate and two restrictions (126, 130) are provided.
