Abstract

1447237 Clamps DAVOL INTERNATIONAL Ltd 29 July 1974 [31 July 1973] 36348/73 Heading E2B [Also in Division A5] A clamp comprises two flat parts 15, 16 joined by hinges 17, 18 separated by a gap 20, one part 16 having a groove 25 to receive a catheter needle, and the other part having a corresponding rib 26 which enters the groove 25 to contact the needle and hold it firmly therein, the two parts being secured by snap fasteners 27, 28. In modifications the groove 25 has a larger diameter section at one end to contain a hub on the needle, or may have intermediate and larger diameter sections to contain the hub and a flange thereof respectively, the rib 26 then being discontinued over these sections.
