1446847 Cooling IC engines BRITISH LEYLAND UK Ltd 22 Oct 1973 [25 Nov 1972] 54594/72 Heading FIB A multi-cylinder liquid cooled I.C. engine comprises an engine block 31 linked by an integral baffle 34 to each cylinder 32 which has an integral head 33 and coolant jacket, the baffle 34 having at least one orifice 42 disposed to direct coolant flowing from the jacket to flow over the head of the cylinder. The coolant serves to cool the exhaust duct 38 and the associated valve (not shown).
