Abstract

1445825 Coating sheet glass SAINT-GOBAIN INDUSTRIES 4 Feb 1974 [6 Feb 1973] 05012/74 Heading C1M In a method of producing surface coated sheet glass by passing the glass into a spray chamber 9, waste gas is removed from the chamber, passed through a heat exchanger 3, 3<SP>1</SP> where it is heated by combustion gases in the flue 4, 4<SP>1</SP> of the glass melting furnace 2 and finally passed into the furnace. Molten glass from the furnace is formed into a sheet using a float tank 8 before being conveyed into the spray chamber 9. The spray chamber 9 is of the type described in U.K. Specification 1,428,248.
