Abstract

1444399 Automatic control of speed R C A CORPORATION 23 Aug 1973 [29 Aug 1972] 39979/73 Heading G3R A speed control system for a video disc recorder turn-table is described which is identical to that disclosed in Specification 1413142. The claims relate to the use of an electric belt drive from the motor to the turn-table whereby the creep of the belt allows the speed of the turn-table to be controlled by braking. It is stated that a range of speeds from 445 r.p.m. to 455 r.p.m. can be accommodated without the belt slipping. Specification 1444400 is referred to.
