Abstract

1443913 Wire stripper BIB HI-FI ACCESSORIES Ltd 29 Nov 1974 51708/74 Heading B4W [Also in Division H2] A wire stripper comprises metal blades 4 having plastics handles 1, 2, a rotatable stopmember 7 on one handle and a part 9 on the other handle to limit the closure of the blades by a variable amount. Each blade has a "V"- shaped stripping notch 5 and a portion 6 for severing the wire. Recesses on plastics member 7 are arranged so that on engagement with spigot 9 the blades are held open. Further pressure, after engagement, will not cause the stop member to rotate. A plastics spring (not shown), shaped like a comma, urges the blades into an open position. Additional recess 10 on the stop member can be engaged with the spigot to lock the blades in a closed position.
