Abstract

1443770 Frames MIDLAND INSTA - CHANGE CO 21 Dec 1973 [5 Jan 1973 5 Nov 1973] 59335/73 Headings A4U and A4X A frame for a member such as a photograph, leaflet, drawing or advertisement comprises a front frame member 11 adapted to receive a photograph or other like member, and retained in a rear frame member 10 by a magnet 20 on the frame member 10 engaged with a metallic member on the frame member 11 which is apertured at 12 for viewing the photograph or like member. A bezel 14 surrounds the aperture 12 and it may be separate from or integral with the frame member 11. The photograph or like member is slid between spaced front and rear parts 13, 15 of the frame member 11. The magnet 20 may be a rubberized magnet and it may be backed by a metallic member 21. The frame member 11 may be removed from the frame member 10 by pressure on an edge 31 of the frame member 11 to tip it so that it can be easily grasped. The frame may be magnetically mounted on a support surface such as a wall 22 having a magnet 23 engaging the metallic member 21, rubber or plastics spacers 24 being provided. In a modification, Figs. 8 to 11 (not shown) the magnet 20 and the metallic member 21 are elevated relative to the major part of the base of the frame member 10 and studs (25) protruding from the base are provided, to make easier the removal of the frame member 11 by tipping.
