Abstract

1442984 Valves IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 28 Nov 1973 [7 Sept 1972] 41486/72 Heading F2V In a check valve for use in titration equipment the closure member 1 is made of glass and the apex 6 is ground to provide a snug fit with a similarly ground seating surface 5, also of glass. The closure member is provided with a steel ring 2 inserted in its surface so that the valve may be operated by a magnet as well as by fluid pressure. Other materials may be used for the conduit such as metals, alloys, e.g. steel, or synthetic materials, e.g. "Teflon" (Registered Trade Mark).
