Abstract

1442183 Making laminated corrugated board INTERNATIONAL PAPER CO 28 Sept 1973 [4 Oct 1972] 45527/73 Heading B5N Two webs of single-wall corrugated board comprising single-face webs 9, 58 and liners 21, 70 are formed simultaneously on conventional equipment for producing double-wall corrugated board. As shown, the equipment comprises three preheater rolls 28, 63, 74 around which webs 9, 58 and liner 70 are normally fed to produce double-wall board; in the invention, liner 21 is introduced and is tensioned by rollers 26, 27 and preheated by rollers 28, 29 prior to assembly with web 9. After drying, the single-wall boards are simultaneously or separately cut.
