Abstract

1440744 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems; fluid regulation PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 6 Feb 1975 [9 Feb 1974] 5075/75 Headings G3H and G3P In a cistern supply valve having a main valve member 18 co-operating with a seat 16 to control flow from an inlet 2 to a passage 14, a labyrinthene passage formed between the concentric annular baffles 12, 13 connects the passage 14 to the outlet 3. The main valve member is held on its seat 16 by fluid-pressure in chamber 27, which connects with the inlet via a restriction 20, and is moved off its seat by inlet fluid-pressure when a float 24 moves the pilot valve 22a off its seat at the end of the spout 21 to connect the chamber 27 with the outlet. The pilot valve 22a is in the form of a resilient strip integral with the gasket 23 which is also integral with two check-valve flaps 29 for preventing subatmosphoric pressure in the valve housing.
