Abstract

1439131 Pillowcases B C WATKIN and M D GRIFFITHS 8 June 1973 [9 March 1972] 11080/72 Heading A4M A pillowcase comprises two walls of flexible material each having a shape as shown in Fig. 1 and stitched together at least along their longitudinal edges 24, 26. A tuck (28), Fig. 2 (not shown), is formed in one of the walls to effectively reduce its width relative to the other wall. The walls may be stitched together along the end edges 20 leaving the pillowcase open at the other end edges 22 to receive a pillow which may be rectangular in shape, or the edges 22 may be stitched together after filling the case with resilient material. One of the walls may have an end pocket 36 for receiving the end of a pillow.
