Abstract
1439067 Dithiophosphate esters CIBAGEIGY AG 5 Oct 1973 [6 Oct 1972 2 Aug 1973] 46665/73 Heading C2P The invention comprises compounds of the formula wherein R 1 is H, halogen, or N0 2 , R 2 is C 1 -C 5 alkyl, C 3 -C 5 alkenyl or -alkynyl, C 1 -C 5 alkoxy C 1 -C 5 alkyl or C 1 -C 5 alkylthio- C 1 -C 5 alkyl and X is O or S. They may be obtained by reacting a compound either with a compound HSP(O)(0R 2 )(SR 3 ) in the presence of an acid binding agent or with a compound MeSP(O)(0R 2 )(SR 3 ) where Me is a monovalent metal, if necessary in the presence of an acid binding agent. The products have pesticidal properties and may be used as active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions which may also contain other pesticides, e.g. ureas, formamidines, carbamates, derivatives of nitrophenols, chlorinated hydrocarbons and other organic phosphorus compounds.
