Abstract

1438801 Calendar timepieces A SCHILD SA 2 Oct 1973 [13 Oct 1972] 45945/73 Heading G3T A calendar watch has concentric day and date indicators 5, 2 driven by respective projections from members 19, 20 mounted on a hub 17 to which is fixed a cam disc 23, the tip 31 of a spring- biased lever 25 riding along the edge of cam 23 so that when it engages a sloping portion 29 of the cam edge it slides therealong to quickly rotate the cam 23 and hub 17 thereby indexing indicators 5, 2, their rotation being stopped by a projection 32 or lever 25 entering a notch 30 in the cam edge thus preventing double-indexing. Member 20 has a further projection 21 and hub 17 is mounted coaxially with a calendar wheel 16 which rotates once per day and which has an arcuate slot 24 entered by catch 21, so that wheel 16 drives hub 17 when catch 21 engages the end of slot 24. Slot 24 also permits manual calendar correction at any time, including immediately after indexing. The spring 13 biasing the lever 25 is an integral part of an assembly plate 10 which is secured to a bottom plate 1 by screws 11 and which carries a first stud 26 constituting the axis of lever 25 and a second stud 15 constituting the axis of a wheel-and-pinion 14 interposed between the calendar wheel 16 and an hour wheel 3 of the watch movement.
