Abstract
1438024 Communication systems SOC ITALIANA TELECOMMUNICAZIONI SIEMENS SpA 15 June 1973 [15 June 1972] 28645/73 Heading H4R [Also in Division H1] A communication cable for time-division transmission systems comprises conductors each in the form of a printed circuit strip with a thickness of the same order as the penetration depth of the alternating currents associated with the resonant transfer of speech signals and insulation which carries and separates the conductors and is of a dielectric having strong anti-polarizing characteristics. The conductors may form parallel plates (Fig. 6, not shown) or the printed circuit strips may be bent to form inner and outer conductors PI, PE of a coaxial cable. Connections to such a cable may be made at any point along its length by conductive tangs LI, LE. The material on which the printed circuits are formed may be polytetrafluoroethylene or polyethylene.
