1437823 Ventilating roofs CONDER INTERNATIONAL Ltd 25 Oct 1974 [25 Oct 1973] 49742/73 Heading E1W Corrugated roofing is ventilated at the ridge or at a mid point by an element, which may be a branch of a ridge capping 4, or a separate device, the element having at least one side wail arranged to lie adjacent a corrugation and having an upper part, e.g. 7 (Fig. 1) spaced away from the corrugation, and a lower part, e.g. 6 fitting closely against the corrugation, the line of intersection 8 therebetween being at an angle of more than 10‹ more than the pitch of the roof, and less than 40‹ to the horizontal. The edge 11 of the element of Fig. 1 is spaced from the top of the corrugation, whereas the equivalent edge in the embodiment of Fig. 6 is in contact with the top of the corrugation, and in this embodiment steps 26 and 29 are also formed' in the device, with a plasterboard strip 24 spacing the upper base part 28 from the roof sheeting 22, which is spaced by a further strip 34 from plasterboard panels 32 supported by I-bars 33 on purlins 31. In a further embodiment, Fig. 10, not shown, the upper is formed inside the corrugation of the upper roof sheet (23), the lower part (41) of the side wall of the device being in contact with the inside face of the corrugation.
