Abstract

1437311 Castors LA-Z-BOY CHAIR CO 4 Jan 1974 [12 Jan 1973] 00421/74 Heading A4U A chair base 12 is supported on the floor by wheels 31 at one end of the base and, alternatively, by castors 58 and rubber pads 39 at the other end, levers 53 having cam surfaces (55) for engaging the base frame 20 being provided for moving the castors vertically relative to the frame to select either the castors or the pads for supporting the base. The castors 58 have stems (57) received in apertures (56) in the lower ends of rods 51 which are slidably mounted in the base frame 20, the rods having slots 52 in which the levers 53 are pivotally mounted. The levers 53 are interconnected by foot-operable cross-bars (62, 65).
