1435142 Gas meter diaphragms TOKYO TOYO RUBBER INDUSTRY CO Ltd 18 April 1973 18649/73 Heading G1R A gas meter flexible diaphragm is made from a woven or knitted fabric of synthetic fibres of highshrinkability, such as a polyamide or polyester, coated on one or both sides with an elastomer, such as acrylonitrile butadiene, rubber, to make the fabric impermeable to gas and has a top portion 2, a sloping wall 3 surrounding the portion 2, a flange 4 surrounding the wall 3 and an elastomeric gasket 5 secured on one or other or on both sides of the flange 4 in such a manner the front of the gasket 5 adjacent the wall 3 is not attached to the flange 4.
