Panels and panelled work.-For the construction of portable buildings, sheets of asbestos a are reinforced on both sides by strips of wood b which may run longitudinally and transversely on both sides or in one direction only on one side. Nails or bolts d secure the strips together, and adjacent panels are secured to each other by bolts passed through the edge strips or rails. Roof panels are made in a similar manner and are connected to the wall panels by angled plates. The edges of the wooden strips may be trimmed for joints other than right-angled. The joints between the sides and roof may be covered by additional inside and outside strips.
