Abstract

1430140 Valves GROHE HANDELS GmbH 19 July 1973 [22 July 1972] 34456/73 Heading F2V In order to produce silent operation of a valve the closure member 34, Fig. 1, at its end adjacent the seating 28 is provided with a partspherical zone of one radius and an adjacent part-spherical zone of a different radius. The member may be integrally formed in plastics material, or it may comprise a plastics body carrying a plastics annular seal (40), Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), for co-operating with the seating which may also be of plastics material. The closure member is adjusted by rotating a knob 16. A spout 22 is attached by a nut 24. Various dimensions and ratios of the closure member and the seating are given in the Specification.
