Abstract

1430024 Air heating stoves; heat exchange elements SKODA NARODNI PODNIK 7 June 1973 [12 June 1972] 27278/73 Heading F4S In an air heater in which a combustion chamber 1 is connected by a flue transfer passage 10 to flue tubes 17, the flow of air to be heated is through a duct 2 surrounding the combustion chamber (from an inlet 3, Fig. 2) to a transfer duct 4, and thence in a tortuous path over the flue tubes 17 to an outlet (14, Fig. 2) for the heated air. The flue transfer passage 10 extends through the air transfer duct 4 and fins 12 extend into the air duct from the wall of the transfer passage to add further heat to the air as it flows through duct 4. Each of the flue tubes 17 comprises two steel sheets 19 having their edge portions bent towards each other and connected together by a weld 18 as shown in Fig. 3.
