Abstract
142,922. Slade, A. G., Slade, L. W., and Roy, J. Feb. 12, 1919. Percussive hand tools.-Relates to a percussive hand-tool for riveting &c., of the kind in which the hose connexion is so placed that the weight of the hose is evenly distributed. The hose connexion G locks in place a bushing 3 containing a throttle valve 2 which is pressed by one or more springs 16, and is operated either by an inside trigger 14, Fig. 1, or by an outside trigger 23, Fig. 4, acting through a. pin 22 and bell-crank lever 21, these trigger mechanisms being interchangeable. When the valve is open, fluid passes through ports 7, 10, Fig. 3, annular recess 12 in the valve, and a port 15 to operate the tool.
