Abstract

1428074 Transfer printing inks BAYER AG 17 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 22021/74 Heading D1B Printing inks used for preparing temporary supports for transfer printing contain (a) a dyestuff base which can be sublimed at 160‹- 240‹C of general formula: in which R, and R 2 are alkyl groups or conjointly with the carbon atom by which they are linked form a carbocyclic ring, R 3 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aralkyl radical, R 4 is a hydrogen atom or a non-ionic substituent, R 5 is hydrogen or an alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or cyano group, R 6 and R 7 are hydrogen or denote identical or different non-ionic substituents which optionally cojointly form a heterocyclic ring, B is rous neutral organic solvent and (c) a neutral resin which is soluble in the solvent. Solvents used include hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, ethers and esters, cyclohexanone-formaldehyde resin being employed as component (c). Acid-modified polyesters and polyamides and polyacrylonitrile substrates being printed with supports having the above printing inks thereon.
