1428046 Dyestuff solutions E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 29 Aug 1973 [29 Aug 1972] 40637/73 Heading C4P [Also in Division D1] Aqueous dyestuff compositions comprise (a) at least 10 per cent by weight of a lithium or tri-(2-hydroxyethyl)-ammonium salt of the dye of formula or of formula in which R is H, CH 2 OH 2 OH, CH 2 CH(CH 3 )OH or CH 2 CH(C 2 H 5 )OH and (b) N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone. The preparations are obtained by preparing the dyes in aqueous N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone or by adding N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone after dye formation or the dye may be prepared and isolated and then dissolved in aqueous N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone.
