Abstract
1425306 Dolls TOMY KOGYO CO Inc 17 July 1974 31667/74 Heading A6S Pressing a button 42 inwards of a doll's torso 10 against the biass of a spring 58 expels air from a bellows 36 through a pipe 34 past a sound mechanism 32 which functions only when air flows in the opposite direction and thus remains silent, depression of the button 42 simultaneously pivoting a lever 48, 53, 54, 56 about its fulcrum 50 so that rods 24 are slidden axially to tilt eyeballs 31 in their sockets. When the button 42 is released, the spring 58 gradually restores the position shown, the bellows 36 drawing air in past the sound mechanism 32 which now emits a kissing noise. During the sucking in of air, a child may hold the doll's lips 26, 28 against its own mouth, &c and temporarily stop the kissing noise emitted by the sound mechanism 32. While air is being sucked into the bellows 36, the lever 48, 53, &c is pivoted back about its fulcrum 50 and springs 25 withdraw the rods 24, so that weights 33 on the eyeballs 20 can pivot the latter back to their initial positions. Lashes 22 are secured ' to the eyeballs 31.
