Abstract

1424171 Partition walls; door frames STORA KOPPARBERGS BERGSLAGS AB 2 Jan 1974 00063/74 Headings E1J and E1W A partition wall comprises panels formed of two opposed spaced parallel metal sheets 2 adhered to either side of porous, solid, heat insulating slabs 3. Each of the sheets 2 is formed or provided along marginal edge portions with formations folded three times to provide outwardly directed edge grooves in the plane of the slab and inwardly directed flanges normal to the plane of the slab so as to abut the edge of the slab. Battens 6 engage in oppositely directed grooves of adjacent panels and provide frictional engagement to hold the panels together in the partition. The partition may provide cabins in ships.
