Abstract
1423492 Offshore structures; jetting FLUOR CORP 1 Feb 1974 [4 May 1973] 04889/74 Headings E1F and E1H An offshore platform is constructed by transporting to the site at least three columns 16 each having a length greater than the depth of water at the site. The columns are erected so that their upper ends are secured to each other to form a support structure and a working platform 24 is added to the support structure. The grounding of a foot 18 for clay and sand bottoms can be achieved by first jetting a cavity 45 in the marine bottom 13 by hoses 43 each with outlet 44. Further jetting enlarges the cavity to bury the foot.
