1423106 Moulding dough VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT KONDITERSKOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI 2 April 1974 14639/74 Heading B5A A device for depositing dough on to a moving conveyer 12 comprises a frame 1 on which are mounted a stationary piston 13 and a horizontally reciprocable assembly 4 including a hopper 5, a chamber 8 for the piston 13, a nozzle 9, and a rotary valve 6 which connects the piston chamber 8 alternately with the hopper and the nozzle, and a motor 14 for reciprocating the assembly 4 and rotating the valve in synchronism by means of linkages 19 and a cam follower system (Fig. 2), respectively, so that dough is drawn from the hopper into chamber 8 as it moves away from the piston 13 and the dough is discharged through the nozzle on the return movement. Several nozzles may be operated together and the conveyer 12 may move more slowly than the nozzles to produce elongate articles. The assembly 4 is mounted on rails 11 by wheels 10 and is moved by levers 19 operated by a cam 18. A roller 20 is attached to the valve 6 and runs along a fixed plate 21, forcing its way past a spring loaded lever 23 and returning along the lever to rotate the valve 6. The roller continues along an adjustable two-piece plate 22 until a spring 25 pulls it back on to plate 21 and rotates the valve back to its initial position. Alternatively (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) the roller 20 engages stops 30, 31 at each end of its travel to rotate the valve back and forth.
