Abstract
1422585 Garment heating COTTON Inc 30 May 1973 25688/73 Heading F4G Garment heating apparatus comprises a support member 2 carrying a vertical conduit 4 provided with a plurality of outwardly directed air discharge openings 22, an enclosure 10 defining a chamber around the conduit, a blower communicating with the conduit for circulating air therethrough and the discharge openings into the chamber, and a heater i.e. electric resistance elements 17, for heating circulated air. There is a structure 28 for mounting a hanger 26 on the conduit such that aligned and oppositely directed portions of the hanger extend outwardly beyond the conduit to support, in the region of the discharge openings, a garment in substantially encircling relation to the conduit so that air ejected through the discharge openings is directed outwardly through the garment. As shown in Fig. 1, the blower is located in the base 2; the garment hangers may be adjustable in size and be hollow perforated bodies in communication with the interior of the conduit which may be formed of separable or telescopic sections. In a modification, a conduit 74, mounted on a base 72, carries a flexible enclosure 78 and a plate 92 on which is seated power-driven blower apparatus.
