Abstract

1421087 Machine tool details; drilling machines K E WITZIG and R FRANK 15 Feb 1974 [15 Feb 1973] 7039/74 Headings B3B and B3C A machine tool having several work stations comprises a central frame unit 3 which supports an indexing table 1 for pivotal stepwise movement about a vertical axis and adapted to carry clamped workpieces, and which contains a stepping drive for turning said table, and is characterized by the provision of at least one upright side support 6 of rigid box frame construction which carries at least one working unit 9, the said supports 6 being adjustable vertically on guides 5 externally of the central frame unit. The side supports 6 have a horizontal portion 8 which carries the machining unit 9. The said portion 8 may be a separate unit being horizontally adjustable along a plane 10 relative the side support 6. Each machining unit 9 has two parallel spindles driven by V- belts. The side supports 6 are vertically adjustable by rack and pinion gearing 14.
