Abstract

1416704 Road studs C F M BALDWIN 12 April 1973 [1 June 1972] 25626/72 Heading E1G [Also in Division G4] A road is provided with a plurality of studs movable from a position flush with the road surface to a position above the road surface, and fluid-pressure actuated means operable by a solenoid valve for effecting such movement in order to warn drivers that a hazard exists. The solenoid valve may be energised by a radio signal or automatically by a photosensitive element in the event of foggy conditions.
