1416686 Lids TUP (PANAMA) SA 6 Dec 1972 [10 Dec 1971] 57380/71 Heading B8T A vessel 1 has a flared rim 5 and a lid 2 with an upstanding rim seal 4 which has a central portion 3 and two generally convergent walls 6, 7 in which edge 8 of rim 5 is held to constitute a seal. A preferred embodiment has a centrally placed boss 16 with tapered walls 17 to assist in gripping. The outer peripheral surround 9 to the lid 2 may be outwardly and/or downwardly directed.
