Abstract
1416375 Nickel based alloys INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd 11 April 1974 [13 April 1973] 17951/73 Heading C7A A cast alloy comprises in weight per cent. where the sum 5[Nb +Ta/2] + 6 [Ti + Al)+ 2/3 Cr = 54.5 to 61.3, the balance being nickel apart from impurities. The alloys are particularly suited for blades and other components of gas turbine engines and other applications where good stress-rupture life at high temperatures in corrosive environments is required. The alloys may be heat treated at 1150C, followed by air cooling then further - treated at 850C, again followed by air cooling, for optimum properties.
