Abstract

1415663 Wells &c ROCLA PIPES Ltd 9 March 1973 [6 March 1972] 10294/72 Heading E1F [Also in Division F2] In an underground pipe line which is formed by jacking concrete pipes 1 adjacent ends 1a, 1b of adjacent pipes 1, 2 have recesses 4a, 4b for the reception of parts 5a, 5b of a seal 5. The seal is neoprene or rubber and its part 5c is straight before fitting between pipes. A gasket 10 of chip hoard or rubber is fitted between pipes and may be a continuous ring or segments. Steel guidance pins 9 are loosely received in galvanised steel sockets 6a, 6b cast into the pipes.
