Abstract

1414776 Ventilators J T GARROD 23 March 1973 [28 Dec 1971] 60268/71 Heading F4J A ventilator terminal for a ridged roof comprises an integral casting of A2 or an A2 alloy with a lower flared section 2 extending between a rectangular outlet 6 to a circular collar 4 and an upper cowl with arcuate side flanges 8 extending from the outlet 6 and a cap member 10 formed with side slots 12 and 14 defining openings from the terminal. The end portions 20 of the terminal are arcuate as shown and engaged by adjacent similarly placed ridge tiles, but they may also be of inverted V-shape. The terminal may be anodized or stove enamelled to tone in with adjacent tiles. Extension pieces may be locked into the collar, enabling the terminal to be used with different sized pipes.
