Abstract
141,379. Mayhew, R. May 3, 1917, [Convention date]. Picture and other illustrated books. - A combined illustrated book and album for gramophone records has its leaves capable of being turned back to expose any leaf carrying a record so that the book when thus folded may be placed on a gramophone for playing the exposed record. The covers 10, Fig. 2, are provided with illustrations 18 and text 20 which is pertinent to the subjectmatter of the adjacent record 21 mounted in or integral with the next leaf 11. The leaves have registering central holes 22 to allow of the book, folded back to expose any record, to be placed on the post of the gramophone. A fastener may hold the book in its folded-back position. The back of the record-holding leaf may be illustrated, or the records may be double-sided. In a modification, the book may have its leaves 25, 26, 27, Fig. 5, hinged together in screen form, the panels Leing illustrated and carrying printed matter and records as before. The central leaf 26 may carry a double-sided record.
