Abstract

1412623 Shipbuilding system PATERSON HUGHES ENG CO Ltd and G C PATERSON 9 April 1973 [16 March 1972] 12386/72 Heading B7S A method of fabricating a ship section 7 comprises the steps of supporting the section at each stage of its fabrication in turn upon a support 4 associated with a respective stage. The section is moved progressively from stage to stage by positioning a bogie 1 below the section and extending jacks 5 on the bogie to raise the section clear of the support associated with one stage. The bogie is then moved to position the section above the support associated with the next fabrication stage, the jacks retracted clear of the section to lower the section on to that support and the bogie moved away.
