Abstract

1412525 Doors for resisting fluid pressure LUTERMA 10 April 1973 [10 April 1972] 17170/73 Heading F2P A fluid-tight door 1 is provided with an inflatable seal 4 controlled by an anti-panic bar (11, Fig. 1, not shown). The bar (11) actuates bolts 8 which, in turn, operate a valve (12) and, in order to prevent bar (11), when the door is open, from being returned and thus inflating seal 4 and extending bolts 8, a projection 20 on a bar 17 extends into the path of a projection 21 on bolts 8. When the door is closed, cam 16 moves bar 17 to release projection 21 and allow bolts 8 to complete their travel as bar (11) reaches its returned position: projection (14) allowing valve stem (15) to rise and connect source (6) of fluid pressure with seal 4.
