Abstract

1412484 Bearings SCHUNK & EBE GmbH 31 Jan 1973 [31 Jan 1972] 4951/73 Heading F2A [Also in Division B3] A hollow sintered metal bearing bush, comprises at least one section, Fig. 1, and has at each end thereof a shaft supporting region 1, 1<SP>1</SP> separated by a non-shaft supporting region 2, the internal diameter and external diameter of the shaft supporting region 1, 1<SP>1</SP> being less than the internal diameter and external diameter respectively of the non-shaft supporting region 2. The bush may comprise two identical sections 5, 5<SP>1</SP> mounted end to end, either with a spacer section 6, as in Fig. 4, or without a spacer, as in Fig. 3 (not shown). Each section may be made as a plain cylinder with subsequent compression of either or both ends to give the required internal diameter.
