Universal couplings.-In a flexible disk coupling for motor-vehicles &c., the flexible disks d are supported circumferentially, in the region of the connecting-bolts f, by a sleeve c on one of the spiders a, or by other means independent of the bolts. The weight of the shaft g is partly supported by the ring c, and this ring retains the shaft in position when the coupling-rings become destroyed.
