Abstract
141,071. Mallat, J. Oct. 22, 1918, [Convention date]. Reservoir pens. - The collapsible, reservoir h is attached by a metallic ring D to the nib-holding plug k, which screws into the front end of the barrel A and is locked in position by a nut n. The ink-duct through the plug k is provided with fine longitudinal grooves to facilitate the admission of air, and the nib is secured to the plug by a metal collar z. The other end of the reservoir h is secured by another band D to a plug f, which is secured by a screw s to a cap g screwed on to the barrel A. A projection t on the plug f engaging a projection d on the barrel A prevents the cap g from being rotated too far and unduly straining the reservoir h. In a modification, the reservoir is adapted to be twisted only and not elongated, the screw s in this case having play in a groove in the plug.
