Abstract

1410389 Multiple circuit hydraulic brake systems GIRLING Ltd 11 April 1974 [27 April 1973] 20058/73 Heading F2F A vehicle hydraulic braking system comprises three independent sources of pressure fluid 2, 5, 8 such as three outputs of a triple master cylinder assembly 1 operated by a single pedal, the first source 2 being connected to a front wheel cylinder 3 and a rear wheel cylinder 4 on the opposite side of the vehicle, the second source 5 being similarly connected to a front wheel cylinder 6 and a rear wheel cylinder 7 and the third source 8 being connected to front wheel cylinders 9, 10 hydraulically separate from the other wheel cylinders. Any or all of the circuits may include antiskid control.
