1408816 Road signs TILDAWN ELECTRONICS Ltd 8 Oct 1973 [20 Nov 1972] 46859/ 73 Heading E1G [Also in Divisions G4 and G6] A sign for use in directing road traffic is built up from multiple similar plastics elements 1 each comprising two parallel off-set tubular members 2, 3 interconnected by a plate 4, the elements being threaded on cords or rods 7, 8. The elements may be of contrasting colours or coated with reflective material, and members 2, 3 may have portions extending beyond plate 4 to form spacers. With multiple parallel cords 7, 8, the elements may be used to make an arrow-shaped formation. In one embodiment the lowermost cord. is held between elastic rings to provide yielding in strongwinds.
