Abstract

1407022 Rack assembly for electrical equipment GENERAL ELECTRICAL CO Ltd 2 Feb 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 5321/72 Heading H1R An electrical equipment assembly in which a module 1 slides in guides 5, cantilevered from a rack 3, between an operative position and an inspection or maintenance position (as shown) has a conductive cable 10 held in a plastics clip 12. In the operative position the cable lies flush and parallel to one side of the module, flexing into the space behind the module when the latter is withdrawn from the rack. Cable 10 may be of the ribbon type. To retain the module, in its operative position latches 14 engage strikers 15. For total removal of the module together with plate 8, supporting part 7 of two part connectors 6, 7 and the cable; the latches and strikers are engaged and securing screws 9 are removed.
