Abstract

1406629 Coated mirror INSTITUT NATIONAL DU VERRE 25 Oct 1972 [28 Oct 1971] 49273/72 Heading B2E A mirror comprises a sheet of glass bearing at least one adherent reflective coating layer, the reflective layer being covered by a layer of fibres, the greater proportion of which have length less than 1 mm and which are bonded in place by a subjacent coating layer applied on top of the reflective coating. The subjacent coating may be a varnish layer and a layer of adhesive. The reflective coating may be a silver layer and a covering copper layer. Preferably the fibres are self adhesive and are applied by spraying on the still wet varnish or adhesive layer.
