1403910 Lattices STICHTING REACTOR CENTRUM NEDERLAND 27 Nov 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 54783/72 Heading E1X [Also in Division G6] A lattice composed of strips 20, 21 positioned parallel to one another and connecting brackets 88, 90 fitted between the strips and attached to the strips by way of bent up lip portions 11, 12, 13, 14, along opposite edges of the bases 8 of the brackets is characterised in that each of the said edges of a bracket has two lip portions separated by a break which continues up to the flat part 8 of the bracket. The lattice is intended to lend support to a plurality of elongated fixed elements, e.g. fissile elements, involved in a heat-exchange process. Preferably the lip portions are spot welded to the strips, the ends of the lip portions may serve as spacers for supporting the elements within the compartments formed by the strips and brackets. Each lip portion may have at its middle part a notch which extends over part of the height of the lip portion. The brackets between one pair of strips may have their lips extending in the opposite direction to those of the brackets between adjacent-pairs of strips. The flat parts of the brackets between successive pairs of strips may be in alignment.
