Abstract

1399935 Wall panels VEREINIGTE ALUMINIUM-WERKE AG 17 Aug 1972 [4 Sept 1971] 38497/72 Headings E1B and E1W A joint between self-supporting facade wall panels, Fig 3, comprises on the outside of the building a plastics seal 6 with a perforated aluminium insert 7 secured with the interposition of shims 5 to the panels and on the inside of the building a steel plate 10 suspended from notched pins 12, the internal cavity being lined with strips of mineral wool 9 and the gap between the panels and the plate 10 being filled by a plastics seal 11. Each panel consists of a hard-foam/lightweight concrete core 3 faced with aluminium panels 2, 13 and surrounded by a steel plate frame 4 having a slot 15. The foam employed may be polyurethane foam and the panels 2, 13 can have an outer anodic covering 1, 14 respectively. The re-inforced concrete ceiling 19, Fig 5, of a building is provided with anchor rails 20, T-sections 21, angle irons 24 and flat bars 25 whereby the wall panels may be interchanged or re-hung for details of which the Specification should be. referred to. A plastics seal 16 which also serves as an edging strip is secured as shown in Fig 5 by an aluminium clamping profile 17 in a gas-tight manner to the wall panel and an aluminium cover panel 18 is also disposed for a gas-tight connection above the ceiling 19.
