Abstract

1397342 Surgical drapes JOHNSON & JOHNSON 1 Feb 1973 [2 Feb 1972] 5042/73 Heading A5R A surgical drape comprises a main panel 10 to which is secured a reinforcing panel 17 and at least one tab 19 positioned at the top edge of the panel 17 and at least one tab 23 positioned at a side edge of the panel 17 near the bottom edge of the panel 17, each tab having a flexible portion which is free of the drape and has at least two openings 22 for retaining flexible members, e.g. suction tubing or electric leads, in position. The tabs may be adhesively secured or heat sealed to the panels 10 and 17. The drape has an opening 18 extending through panels 10, 17 and a plastics film may 'be located between the panels. Preferably a tab 23 is provided at each side edge of panel 17 and additional tabs 20, 21 may also be provided at the side edges.
