Abstract

1397076 Cams PRESSED STEEL FISHER Ltd 3 Oct 1972 [3 July 1971] 31298/71 Heading F2K A rotary control for a vehicle heater comprises a manually adjustable helical double face cam 11 of moulded synthetic plastic material having two cam faces 13, 14 engaging between two follower pegs 18, 19 on a rockable lever 15 connected by a cable or rod (not shown), to a heater control flap (not shown). The pegs 18, 19 are mounted on separate arms 16, 17 of the rockable lever 15 so that they engage the respective cam faces 13, 14 on diametrically opposite sides of the cam 7. The helical cam 11 may incorporate one or more dwell portions (not shown) and have a manually adjustable knob (not shown) fitted at one end, the other end being connected, if required, to an electric switch (not shown) controlling the boost motor of the heater (not shown) and conveniently operating over the dwell portion of the cam.
