1396715 Masted lift trucks ETABS BRAUD ET FAUCHEUX 27 Oct 1972 [27 Oct 1971] 49713/72 Heading B8H A fork lift truck (10), Fig. 1 (not shown), includes a hoisting mast which comprises a frame 14 pivotally attached to the truck chassis, said frame 14 consisting of C-section uprights 15A, 15B, a frame 24 which is movable relative to the frame 14 and consists of C-section uprights 25A, 25B, a pair of jacks 37A, 37B mounted at their lower ends to the frame 14 and whose piston rods are engaged in centring sleeves 40A, 40B on the upper part of the movable frame 24, each of the jacks 37A, 37B being arranged in a respective dead space EA, EB which is defined by planes T1, T2 which extend at right angles to the median general plane P through the sets of uprights 15A, 25A and 15B, 25B, said planes being externally tangential to each of said set of uprights. Flexible tension elements 43A, 43B are attached respectively at 44A, 44B to the frame 14 and pass over receiving pulley 42A, 42B on the movable frame 24 to connections on flanges 32A, 32B of a lifting carriage 31 provided with forks 35A, 35B, one end of each of the tension elements 43A, 43B being located respectively inside the elements 25A, 25B of the frame 24. Rolling wheels 28 are mounted on the uprights 25A, 25B for movement along the uprights 15A, 15B and support wheels 29 are also mounted for rotation between the uprights 25A, 15A and 25B, 15B, while rolling wheels 30 mounted on the lifting carriage run on the uprights 25A, 25B. The hoisting mast is tilted about a horizontal axis on the truck defined by articulation points 20A, 20B, said tilting being -effected by means of rams (23B), Fig. 1 (not shown).
