Abstract

1396713 Work clamps H KIPP [trading as HEINRICH KIPP MASCHINENFABRIK] 26 Oct 1972 [6 Dec 1971] 49517/72 Heading B3B A workpiece clamping device comprises a base member 1, clamping jaw 2, a clamping bolt 3 passing through a longitudinal slot in the clamping jaw 2 and screwably into the base 1 or into a T-sleeve nut 4, and a vertically adjustable and lockable supporting element 5 spaced from the clamping bolt 3 and guided for displacement parallel to the axis of the clamping bolt, the jaw 2 and element 5 being supported by springs 11, 18. The supporting element 5 is made up of an accessory bolt 12, a locking screw 21 which moves in a slot 30, a locking piece 24 which has serrations 26 to engage like serrations 25 formed on the base 1, and a moulded piece 13 that supports the jaw 2. The clamping jaw 2 is slotted for longitudinal movement relative to the clamping bolt 3 which has a ball-andsocket connection 28, 29 with the said jaw.
